Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School Library exists to serve the unique needs of our learning community. The library is the “heart of the school”
and as such seeks to be a vibrant, welcoming place for students, faculty,
and staff. Our goal is to develop life-long learners who use
information effectively and are able to evaluate the quality and worth
of the information they encounter on a daily basis, both in school and
out.
The library has well-developed
collections, including a large fiction collection and non-fiction
collections that support the school curriculum as well as student
interests. Our collection of graphic literature is being actively developed. We also have a small, but very interesting,
collection of books in Portuguese. The library receives eighty different
magazines monthly and also receives the Cape Cod Times, the Boston Globe, the Register, and the New York Times.
Our
Library Catalog is online and can be accessed anytime from school or home.
Students are
welcome to use the library before school, during lunch and after school. The glass computer lab is also available to students during these times.
